Musk Continues Ambitions to Make Twitter the ‘Everything App’ with Plans for Crypto Trading
Elon Musk continues to surprise on his path to transforming Twitter into a “Super App” that integrates financial aspects. Earlier this week, the new CEO announced a corporate name change from Twitter Inc to X Corp as a tribute to Musk’s original vision for PayPal.
This morning, the company announced a strategic partnership with eToro, one of the largest social trading companies in the world, which happens to be Israeli. The feature, called Cashtags, allows users to view real-time information on leading stock indices like the S&P 500 through TradingView. To use the feature, simply type the stock symbol with a dollar sign in the search bar, such as TSLA$. With a click of a button, users can also trade stocks and invest in cryptocurrencies on eToro’s financial platform.
In the initial stage, users will be able to view real-time information on leading stock indices such as the S&P 500 via TradingView. The feature, known as Cashtags, requires users to simply enter the stock symbol with a dollar sign at the beginning, such as TSLA$, in the search bar.
With the click of a button, users will also be able to seamlessly transition to executing trades on eToro.
